The NABLe crew proudly participated in the 54th Clinical Aphasiology Conference (CAC) 2025, held in Albuquerque, New Mexico from May 27 to 31.

CAC is an annual forum for clinicians and researchers dedicated to the study and treatment of acquired neurologic language disorders, typically held at the end of May. Submissions are accepted in January, and only first or second authors of accepted abstracts are eligible to attend—making it a selective and highly valued conference in the field.

This year, six members from NABLe attended the conference: Dr. Jee Eun Sung, Dr. Sujin Choi, PhD students Jimin Park, Junyoung Shin, Solmyung Seo, and Yae Rin Yoo, who recently completed her master’s degree and is scheduled to begin her PhD program.

Notably, Jimin Park and Junyoung Shin were selected as NIDCD RSCA Fellows, receiving travel fellowships to attend the conference. As part of the RSCA program, they participated in the Poster Blitz session to present their work and were also paired with mentors through the fellowship's mentor-mentee program. Although the experience was initially nerve-wracking, both students described it as an inspiring opportunity that broadened their academic perspectives and deepened their passion for research.

All attending NABLe members presented their research during the poster sessions, and Dr. Jee Eun Sung delivered a platform presentation comparing the structural properties and performance outcomes of the Korean and English versions of the Boston Naming Test in individuals with aphasia—highlighting culturally driven differences and cross-linguistic implications.

Through CAC 2025, NABLe once again connected with international scholars and shared innovative insights, continuing its mission to contribute to the global aphasiology community.
