2024 Korean Academy of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Conference

On October 12, 2024, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Korean Academy of Speech-Language and Hearing Disorders (KASLD) was successfully held at Ewha Womans University, hosted by KASLD and organized by the Department of Communication Disorders at Ewha. Professor Jee Eun Sung served as Chair of the Organizing Committee and oversaw the overall planning and execution of the event. Master’s and doctoral students from NABLe also played key roles in supporting and facilitating the conference.

This year’s theme, “Communication and AI,” brought together scholars across various domains of communication disorders for a vibrant exchange of ideas through oral and poster presentations. The conference was also enriched by keynote lectures from leading researchers, offering rare and valuable opportunities for academic growth:

From NABLe, Dr. Sujin Choi gave an oral presentation titled “Comparing the Effects of Semantic Feature Analysis for Nouns vs. Verbs in Persons with Aphasia,” and was honored with the Outstanding Research Award. Additionally, Ph.D. student Junyoung Shin received the prestigious Seunghwan Lee Scholarship. Several master's and doctoral students also participated in the poster session, presenting a diverse range of research topics:

2024년 10월 12일, 한국언어청각임상학회가 주최하고 이화여자대학교 언어병리학과가 주관한 ‘2024 한국언어청각임상학회 학술대회’가 이화여자대학교에서 진행되었습니다. 성지은 교수님께서는 조직위원장을 맡으셔서 전체적인 행사를 총괄해주셨습니다. 또한 NABLe의 석사, 박사 과정 선생님들도 행사 진행에 큰 역할을 해주었습니다. 

이번 학회는 ‘의사소통과 AI’라는 큰 주제로 의사소통장애 각 분야의 구두 및 포스터 발표가 활발히 이루어졌습니다. 또한 평소 쉽게 접할 수 없는 교수님들의 아래와 같은 기조 강연을 통해 생각을 넓힐 수 있는 귀중한 배움의 장이었습니다.

NABLe에서는 먼저 최수진 박사님의 ‘실어증 환자를 대상으로 실시한 명사 및 동사 의미자질 중재 효과 비교’를 주제로 구두 발표가 진행되었습니다. 더불어 최수진 박사님의 우수 논문상 수상이라는 기쁜 소식이 있었습니다. 또한 신준영 박사과정 선생님께서 이승환 장학금을 수상하시기도 하였습니다. 그리고 석사, 박사 과정 선생님께서 다음과 같이 다양한 주제로 포스터 발표에 참여했습니다. 

1. 로봇 및 태블릿 매체 유형이 노년층의 언어 및 인지 자동화 검사 수행에 미치는 효과(유예린, 임윤섭, 성지은)
